Have you not yet started using two-factor authentication in practice?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Big mistake, attacks on your data security are on the rise. In July alone, statistics show a 400% increase. The most common SFA (Single-Factor Authentication)<\/strong>, i.e. one password<\/strong> authentication, is not really enough<\/strong> to securely access sensitive data. If you have been the victim of a hacker attack and your password has been leaked<\/strong>, chances are you are in big trouble<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, there are still users who commonly use passwords 1234 etc. Choosing a strong and long enough password is essential (more here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast, 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)<\/strong> adds another layer of security<\/strong> to the authentication process and makes it more difficult for attackers to access users’ devices or online accounts. In the second phase, you also enter a code<\/strong> that was sent to you via email or SMS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When 2FA is not enough<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your business requires it or you just prefer high security, MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)<\/strong> is the way to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most common methods for multi-step identity verification:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • knowledge factor (lock pattern, answer to security question)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • OTP authentication (one-time generated password)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • smart card or hardware token (RSA SecureID, Yubikey)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • password-free notifications (approval\/denial of access to a website or application)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • voice authentication (prompting to press a certain key)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • biometrics (fingerprint, face ID, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • automatic code generation application (Authenticator)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    In order to access public administration services<\/strong> available through the National Identification and Authentication Point (NIA)<\/strong>, it is common today to identify a citizen<\/strong> through applications such as the eGovernment Mobile Key, MojeID, BankID, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n\n\n\n

    Companies are increasingly using SSO (Single Sign-On)<\/strong>, which allows users to access multiple different systems and applications with a single sign-on without having to sign in again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Advantages of SSO:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • the organisation controls access from a single location<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • the risk of password compromise is reduced<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • simplifies administration of assignments\/changes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • the user does not have to remember\/change passwords for all systems and applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      With the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), which is capable of cracking passwords in seconds, data security is picking up speed. Prevent the cyber threats that lurk at every turn, whether you’re at work or sitting in the cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Faster CZ recommends SSO single sign-on in conjunction with advanced MFA authentication.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
